On Thursday, October 17th, we’ll celebrate dance, dance artists, and the power of photography with Endless Motion, an exhibition and reception featuring the work of local photographer Juan E. Contreras.
Over the past five years, Juan has supported New Works, and local dance artists, by documenting scores of performances. He has generously donated his time and expertise, capturing ephemeral moments in still images and producing thousands of photographs that are part of a growing archive of the work that is being created and presented in Metro Vancouver. We are thrilled to be able to share them with all of you.
This unique event will launch a three-way fundraising campaign, benefitting New Works, the Artists whose images we have selected, and the photographer. We will have framed and unframed prints for sale and the option of purchasing online after the event as well.
We hope you can join us, bring friends and family, and let’s celebrate art is its many forms!
New Works gratefully and respectfully acknowledges that this event takes place on the ancestral, and unceded Indigenous territories of the ʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations.
