|Job Posting: Communications Manager|
We are seeking a Communications Manager to animate New Works marketing, communications and engagement. This role has historically shifted based on who is in it and there is real opportunity to tailor the position to you and grow with it. We are open to both experienced and junior candidates and are not necessarily looking for an expert. This can be a skill-building position for the right person, someone who is keen to learn, who is a self-starter, problem solver, innovative thinker and who is passionate about dance and New Works activities. You don’t need to be a graphic designer or established publicist. Skill with social media and alt communication platforms is a plus.
New Works is committed to principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism. We encourage applications from candidates with a broad range of backgrounds including, but not limited to: race, ethnicity, indigeneity, gender, gender-identification, sexual orientation, class and physical ability. We are a parent-friendly workplace that supports a healthy work/life balance.

|March Artist Residencies|
In partnership with the Dance Centre, New Works is proud to continue supporting local dance artists during the global health pandemic. Providing access to safe COVID-19 compliant opportunities to create and share work has been a core part of our business for twelve months. Things continue to evolve and change, and we are committed to adapting to meet those challenges so the Artists we are committed to can continue to share their beautiful work.
In March, we hosted two artist residencies with OURO Collective and Josh Ongcol.
