OrpheusVR is a new operatic experience that is currently being developed by Debi Wong, Youhan Guan, Conrad Sly & Brian Topp.

This single-user experience is a new virtual take on the myth of Orpheus & Eurydice, that plays like a choose-your-own-adventure opera with musical and moral implications.

Escape (2020)

Escape is a one on one interactive performance exploring themes of escapism, psychogeography, corporeality and the dissociation from the body that comes with an increase of online interaction. This individualized experience is delivered through your phone between midnight and 3am and draws your attention to your physical body in space, exploring the potentials and restrictions of both real and virtual worlds.

ISOLATA (2020)

ISOLATA is a series of mobile web-based interactive audio games from It’s Not A Box Theatre, designed to be experienced entirely in your home. We begin with a trilogy of thrillers, each an original story from a different subgenre, all exploring connection and trust in our collective isolation. If you are not afraid to play in the dark, all you need is a smartphone and a few household items. You can play alone or with others (online or in the same home) depending on the episode, and they are entirely free to play.

A collaboration with Luke Garwood, You are swimming here is a site responsive installation. Using geolocative and target-based Augmented Reality (AR), it is an extension of the performance work LOT X, which was presented as part of a co-presentation between Harbourfront’s TORQUE and DanceWorks’ Mainstage seasons in June 2019. You are swimming here is experienced outdoors on the East Campus of Harbourfront Centre.

Tidal Traces (2017)

VR 360 Dance Film. Captured offshore on intertidal mudflats near Vancouver, Tidal Traces is a collaboration between new-media artist Nancy Lee and choreographer Emmalena Fredriksson. The two merged their practices through a year-long artist interdisciplinary Dancelab residency at The Dance Centre to explore the opportunities VR offers for viewing and experiencing dance
