Empower the Future of Dance - Fundraising Campaign
At New Works, we are passionate about empowering dance artists through our Artist Support Programs. These initiatives are designed to meet artists where they are and provide opportunities for growth, professional development, and collaboration:
- Help Desk & Consultation: An open invitation to connect with us for advice, guidance and one-on-one support.
- Residencies: Creative spaces to take risks without the pressure of production and the opportunity to build community engagement.
- Cohort Program & In Practice: A chance to delve into professional development alongside peers and mentors.
- XR Program: Exploring artistic practice through innovative technologies.
- Mentorship & Management: Foster long-term, collaborative management relationships.
Your generosity creates a ripple effect
to the artists we support,
to the audiences they inspire
and the communities they serve.
Why Your Support Matters
Demand for artist support is at an all-time high. Last season, we received:
- 35 applications for 2 Residency spots
- 27 applications for 10 Cohort spots
This growing demand reflects the vital need for programs like ours. However, we are facing significant challenges:
- Public funding levels have stagnated, limiting our ability to expand or even sustain current offerings.
- We lack the financial resources to meet this increasing need, let alone introduce new opportunities.
The need for responsive, comprehensive support for artists in our community continues to grow.
We need your help to respond.
Make a Difference Today!
Your donation to the Artist Support Programs directly benefits artists in the community, allowing us to:
- Share knowledge, mentorship, and creative opportunities with more artists.
- Plan for the winter and spring season, when the bulk of our programs take place.
Your generosity creates a ripple effect—from New Works, to the artists we support, to the audiences they inspire and the communities they serve.
Help us sustain and grow these vital programs.
Together, we can continue to be a part of these artists’ stories.
