Exciting creative cross pollination begins this spring between Vancouver’s All Bodies Dance Project, dance artist Adam Grant Warren, and Ottawa’s Propeller Dance, as they begin a three-month creative exchange to share knowledge in dance-making and facilitation in integrated dance and disability arts.
The first phase of the project welcomes Propeller Dance to Vancouver in May 2024, where artists will share a week of exchange in the studio together.
Audiences are invited to join the artistic collaborators for an informal lecture-demonstration to learn about their respective artistic practices, activities, and moments of discovery shared in the studio.

Cross-Pollination aims to contribute to the professional and artistic growth of the participating artists, which will have impacts throughout their local dance community. Presenting organizations and their collaborating artists were selected to receive support for this work as the CanDance Networks' annual Creative Exchange Project recipients. Bridging two national arts communities, this is an exciting and unique opportunity for artists working in mixed ability dance contexts to share, investigate, and learn from creative peers.
Co-hosted by New Works, The Dance Centre, and the National Arts Centre, the project is supported by the CanDance Network’s Creative Exchange Project aimed at nurturing meaningful artistic dialogue and practice-sharing among artists based in different Canadian communities.

All Bodies Dance Project is an inclusive dance company located on unceded Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil- Waututh territories (Vancouver, BC.) Our work brings together artists with and without disabilities to explore the endless creative possibilities in difference. Our work straddles labels of community-engaged and professional practice. We aim to dismantle assumptions, biases and default notions around contemporary dance, the theatre and the dancing body.
ABDP offers accessible and inclusive dance classes for people of all abilities, genders, sizes, and backgrounds in addition to creating opportunities for diverse artists to practice, research and

Adam Grant Warren is a movement artist, theatre-maker, writer, arts educator, and wheelchair-user whose career in performance spans more than 20 years.
As an associate artist with All Bodies Dance Project, Adam's collaborations have featured at festivals including Vancouver's 12 Minutes Max, Victoria's SKAMpede, and Calgary's Fluid Festival. He’s currently Artist-in-Residence at the Scotiabank Dance Centre, working alongside TJ Dawe and Lee Su-Feh on a new piece: Good Bully.
In the theatre, Adam is a Jessie Award winning actor whose west coast performance highlights include productions of his own shows, Last Train In and Lights, as well as Touchstone Theatre's Kill Me Now, and Realwheels Theatre's CREEPS. His new play, Saturday Nights at Axles, is in development at Realwheels, where he is now Co-Artistic Director. adamgrantwarren.com
