About the work

Foolish Operations will be in residency at the Roundhouse creating and exploring their new work-in-development, Grande Ourse - Petite Ourse this coming January 2025. Grande Ourse - Petite Ourse, a commission from Théâtre la Seizième, is in its very early stages of creative process, set to premiere in 2026. Grande Ourse - Petite Ourse is an ode to the stars, a reminder we are all under the night sky, in relation with the stars above us, and in order to maintain this timeless relationship with the stars who have watched over our ancestors, ourselves and our current children, we are called to care for our planet.

Accessibility:
This performance will be approximately 25-30 minute long. It will include electronic music and flute, songs, projections on the floor and on dancers. It is a relaxed performance, babies can enter the theatre in their strollers if they are sleeping. Stroller parking will be provided in the Exhibition Hall.  Families can exit and re-enter the theatre during the performance, older siblings and extended family members are welcomed, milk or water is ok, please keep snacks for after the performance. Seating will be on cushions, in a semi-circle around the performance area. Chairs can be requested for those who need it and space can easily be made for people using mobility devices. Invitations to move in some of the sections, from your spot in your watching area or into the performance space may be offered by the artists. These are invitations, simply watching and listening is always an option! Babies may chose to watch you, close their eyes, instead of the performance, it's ok! We are designing this to be experienced in small bites and for adults too!
