Something New!
Peer to Peer Dance Exchange

Introducing a new initiative: Peer to Peer Dance Exchange, a bi-weekly online drop-in discussion. These meetings will touch on a broad range of topics and are geared towards dance artists and members of the dance community who would like to connect with each other (and with us at New Works!)

These meetings will be facilitated by a member of the New Works team who can share their knowledge with the group, but these will not be workshops (sorry, no snazzy powerpoint). This Peer to Peer Dance Exchange is an opportunity to share ideas with others, brainstorm and connect with people!

On Wednesday February 10th from 1-2pm, we’ll have our first session and the topic we will chat about is the upcoming BC Arts Council “Project Assistance: Pivot for Individuals” grant. It will be facilitated by our Development and Artist Support Manager Katheryn Peterson. You can drop-in at any time and stay for as long as you’d like. Come ask your questions & brainstorm with other people who might be working on this grant. Let’s help each other out!

New Works Grant Clinic

We’ll be doing another grant clinic soon, in time for the April grant deadlines for the Canada Arts Council. You’ll be able to sign up to get one on one support for your grant application. Keep an eye out for that announcement!
